Multi-Vehicle Collision on Roswell Road Raises Safety Concerns
On January 5, 2026, a serious multi-vehicle collision occurred along Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, Georgia. A vehicle left the roadway and struck a utility pole, severing it partially. The incident took place near Crème de la Crème School of Buckhead, a daycare and preschool facility located along the southbound section of Roswell Road. Fortunately, no injuries were reported despite the severity of the impact and property damage. Both vehicles involved were declared total losses. The severed utility pole created a hazardous condition requiring utility company response and repairs. The incident has prompted renewed community safety concerns, particularly given that this location has experienced multiple vehicle-off-road incidents in recent years, including a fatal pedestrian strike in March 2025 approximately 300 feet away from this collision site.
Boil Water Advisory Lifted After Transmission Main Repair
A boil water advisory that was issued for Sandy Springs on Sunday has been lifted, according to the Atlanta Department of Watershed Management. The advisory was prompted by a breach on a 48-inch transmission main in the vicinity of Riverside Road and Don White Memorial Park. Residents and businesses in the area experienced low water pressure or no water at all. After repairs were completed and water samples confirmed no contamination, the advisory was lifted, and water can now be used for all purposes without boiling.
