Police: driver robbed at gunpoint; Safeway worker hurt
Seattle police logged an early-morning report of an armed robbery targeting a delivery driver near the 10500 block of Bagley Ave N. Investigators said three armed suspects took the driver’s vehicle and left the area.
In a separate reported incident, a Safeway employee was seriously injured after being struck with a long metal pole during a confrontation in a parking garage. Police said the suspect later fled through a cloud from a discharged fire extinguisher, was found several blocks away, and was taken into custody after a brief pursuit.
Hit-and-run crash followed by a fire; report of gunfire damage in Fremont/Wallingford area
Police also summarized a hit-and-run near the 1700 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Way S in which a vehicle left the roadway and hit part of a townhouse property. While officers were handling the scene, a fire broke out in the residence’s laundry area; responders later linked the fire to a gas leak associated with the crash.
Separately, officers responding to a report of shots fired near the 500 block of N 36th St found damage to multiple vehicles and nearby businesses, plus evidence at the scene. No injuries were reported in that summary, and investigators noted limited witness information.
