Art in the park on the riverfront
Riverview Park is hosting the Sebastian River Art Club today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., bringing local artists, paintings, and crafts to the lawn along the lagoon. Splash pad and playground closures
Families heading to Riverview Park should know that the popular splash pad remains closed for maintenance through February 27. City crews are working on repairs and upgrades, and signs are posted around the fenced area.
Over on the south side of town, portions of Hardee Park’s playground are also closed as the city continues improvement work. Other areas of the park, including open green space and walking paths, are still accessible, so it is worth checking ahead and packing a backup plan for the kids.

Next week will be an active one at City Hall. On Monday evening the Budget Review Advisory Board meets to continue its work ahead of the next budget cycle. Tuesday brings a session of the Charter Review Committee, which is examining possible updates to the city’s founding document.
On Wednesday night, the City Council is scheduled for its regular meeting in the council chambers. Residents can attend in person or follow along online, and there are opportunities for public input following the city’s standard participation rules. If there is an issue you care about, this is a good meeting to watch.
