Sioux Falls Police Seek Suspects in Convenience Store Shooting
Sioux Falls, SD — February 3, 2026 — Police are searching for three suspects involved in a shooting outside a local convenience store on January 31.
Incident Details
On January 31, 2026, at approximately 8:55 p.m., three masked individuals entered the Food-N-Fuel convenience store at 9th Street and Kiwanis Avenue. They stole a bottle of alcohol and fled on foot. An acquaintance of the store’s owners pursued them.
Escalation and Injury
During the chase, one of the suspects fired a gun, striking the victim in the ankle. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and has since been treated.
Suspects and Investigation
The suspects are believed to be between 15 and 20 years old. They escaped eastbound on 9th Street with one bottle of alcohol. Police are urging community members to review any security camera or Ring doorbell footage from that evening. The suspects remain unidentified and at large.
