City Council eyes long-term road funding

City leaders recently discussed a regional transportation proposal that could eventually go before county voters. The plan would create a dedicated funding source for road repairs, transit improvements, and safer street projects across San Luis Obispo County. While no vote was taken this week, council members signaled interest in accountability and transparency as the proposal continues to take shape.

Cal Poly prepares for major academic and housing shifts

On campus, Cal Poly continues laying the groundwork for its upcoming conversion from the quarter system to semesters, scheduled to begin in the 2026–27 academic year. Faculty and staff are refining course offerings and student support systems, while students are being encouraged to watch for timeline updates.
