Senior Center Study Open House
On January 29, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, the T.E. Harman Center hosted a Senior Center Study Open House. This event provided residents with an opportunity to learn about and provide feedback on the city’s plans for the senior center.
Conversations with Council (District 4)
Scheduled for January 31, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Sugar Land City Hall, this event allows District 4 residents to engage directly with their council representatives, discuss community issues, and share their concerns.
Farmer’s Market at Imperial Park
Also on January 31, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the Imperial Park Recreation Center will host a Farmer’s Market. This market offers fresh produce, local goods, and a chance to support local vendors.
City’s Acquisition of Imperial Historic District
In June 2025, the City of Sugar Land acquired the approximately 40-acre Imperial Historic District property for $50 million. This acquisition includes the former Imperial Sugar Refinery and the century-old Char House. The city plans to redevelop and preserve these historic structures, aiming to revitalize the area and honor its rich history. Restoration activities are expected to commence based on a Master Development Agreement with a private development partner by the first quarter of 2026.
