Corona police say two 15-year-old female students were arrested in an investigation of online communications about a possible future attack at Corona High School. Police identified one student as attending Corona High and the other as attending Norco High School.
The department said the FBI notified it on Oct. 6, 2026, about social-media communications concerning a possible threat to Corona High. Police announced the arrests on Oct. 20, 14 days after that notification. That interval is between the FBI notification and the public announcement; the release does not give the Norco studentโs arrest date.
Allegations and searches
Police alleged the students spent several months researching school shootings and discussed a possible attack at Corona High on an unspecified future date. Police also said the students discussed ways to obtain weapons.
Police said the students had not obtained weapons and that searches of several Riverside County residences found none. The release did not specify an attack date or assess whether either campus faced a current threat.
Custody and prosecutor review
Police said both students remained in custody, using the wording โon charges of Conspiracy to Commit Murder,โ and that the Riverside County District Attorneyโs Office was reviewing the case. The release does not establish whether prosecutors formally filed charges.
The alleged conduct has not been adjudicated. The departmentโs account describes police allegations and arrests, not a court finding.
