On Monday, February 2, 2026, a house fire erupted on Woodlawn Avenue in Chula Vista. Firefighters from Chula Vista, National City, Imperial Beach, and San Diego responded to the scene around 2:30 p.m. The blaze extended into a neighboring home, but crews managed to contain it within 20-30 minutes. Four individuals were rescued from the backyard, and one person was transported to the hospital. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and Woodlawn Avenue was closed for several hours during the response.
Luna Grill Announces New Chula Vista Location
Luna Grill, a California-based Mediterranean restaurant chain, has announced plans to open a new location in Chula Vista Center.
