Hudson County prosecutors announced Oct. 20, 2026, that Adraen Ramirez, 33, of Union City, had been charged with one count of endangering the welfare of a child/possession of child sexual abuse material, a second-degree crime. The charge is an accusation, not a finding of guilt.
Prosecutors said members of the Hudson County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and the U.S. Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested Ramirez at a Weehawken residence on Oct. 19. Prosecutors said they received multiple tips beginning in June 2026 about suspected material on a Google server and that investigators linked the account to Ramirez. Those are prosecutorsโ descriptions of the investigation, not court findings.
The reported timeline is tips beginning in June, an arrest on Oct. 19 and a charge announced Oct. 20; it does not establish when any alleged conduct occurred. At the time of the announcement, Ramirez was being held pending his first court appearance. The announcement-era coverage did not give a date for that appearance. Ramirez is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
