Winfield city office closes Mondays beginning May 1
The City of Winfield’s office at City Hall, 115 N. Locust Street, will be closed on Mondays effective May 1, 2026. The schedule change affects in-person access to city-office services, including permits, records, payments and other business handled through the office.
Residents who typically visit City Hall on Mondays will need to plan around the closure and use the city’s remaining published business days or other access options. The city’s notice does not give a reason for the change and does not say that every city service will be unavailable on Mondays.
The Monday office closure does not change the published City Council meeting schedule. The council continues to meet at 5 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. The city’s 2026 agenda archive lists the next meeting for May 13, followed by meetings dated June 10 and July 8.
Meeting notices and agendas are posted 24 hours before each meeting on the city website, the city’s Facebook page and the front door of City Hall. Residents planning to attend or review council business should check those locations for the latest notice and agenda.
