A 32-year-old woman died late Saturday, Oct. 31, after an LAPD patrol car struck her near Woodman Avenue and Bessemer Street in Los Angeles. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the Los Angeles Times reported.
LAPD said the patrol unit was responding to an emergency call, the Times reported. That identifies the reported reason the car was traveling; it does not establish how the collision happened or who was responsible.
The Times reported on Nov. 1 that LAPDโs Multidisciplinary Collision Investigation Team was investigating. That update came the day after the collision. The Nov. 1 accounts reported no cause or fault determination. The Times did not give a public timetable for findings.
The Times also reported that no officers were injured.
