Yonkers Police Charge Local Man with Attempted Murder

Yonkers, NY — February 3, 2026 — A Yonkers man has been charged with attempted murder following a shooting incident on Walnut Street.

On March 4, 2025, at approximately 3:35 PM, Yonkers Police responded to reports of two males shot outside 326 Walnut Street. Officers found a 39-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his torso; he was transported to a local trauma center with significant internal injuries. A second 31-year-old male victim sustained a gunshot wound to his face and was privately transported to a local hospital, where he was stabilized and transferred to a trauma center for treatment of serious facial injuries.

Detectives from the Yonkers Police Major Case Squad and Crime Scene Unit responded to process the scene and investigate. The investigation led to the arrest and charging of a local man with attempted murder in connection with the incident.
