Arizona Public Service customers will receive a one-time credit on their November 2026 bills, and the utility will pause its monthly Renewable Energy Adjustment Charge (REAC) for that billing month. The Arizona Corporation Commission unanimously approved the changes at its Oct. 7 meeting in Phoenix.
The commission estimates the credit and omitted REAC charge together could save an average residential customer about $14.70. APS separately estimates about $14 in total November savings for a typical residential customer using approximately 1,050 kilowatt-hours per month. These are different estimates, not guaranteed amounts; actual savings vary with usage.
On residential bills, the REAC appears as an Environmental Benefits Surcharge that is typically about $2.49. APS says the credit and charge pause apply automatically to residential and business customers, so they do not need to apply. The REAC is scheduled to return to its previously approved rate on Dec. 1, 2026.
