Delaware delays two school accountability releases to October
The Delaware Department of Education pushed back two 2026 school-accountability releases, citing additional time for data validation. School Quality and Student Success measures are now scheduled for Oct. 20, instead of Sept. 22. Complete Delaware School Success Framework results are scheduled for Oct. 27, instead of Oct. 15. As of Oct. 8, both revised dates are still ahead.
The department’s Sept. 29 update also reported a statewide four-year graduation rate of 89% in 2025, up from 88.9% in 2024, 87.8% in 2023 and 87% in 2022. The 2019 rate was 86.7%. Multilingual learners’ average progress toward individual English-language growth targets rose from 42.8% in 2024 to 46% in 2025 and 48.6% in 2026. That measure is average progress toward individual targets, not the share of students who were proficient or met their full targets.
The Delaware School Success Framework measures public-school performance, including academic achievement and progress, school quality and student success, graduation rates, and English-learner progress.
