Dallas ISD has announced an extension of school closures for Thursday, January 29, 2026, due to persistent winter weather conditions. The district emphasizes the safety of students and staff, noting that while major highways are improving, many neighborhood streets and sidewalks remain icy and challenging to navigate. Crews are actively working to clear walkways and parking lots, but refreezing overnight poses additional hazards. Families are advised to stay updated through the district’s official channels for further information regarding Friday’s schedule.
