Shooting in South Lincoln
On Thursday evening, two individuals in their 20s sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds near South 27th and Old Cheney Road. The Lincoln Police Department responded to reports of multiple gunshots and found several spent shell casings. A third person may have been present, but their involvement is unclear. The incident is under investigation, and authorities believe there is no ongoing threat to the community. Pro-Life Mass and Nebraska Walk for Life
Today at 9:00 AM, St. Mary’s Catholic Church in downtown Lincoln is hosting the annual Pro-Life Mass, sponsored by the Nebraska Catholic Conference. All three Nebraska bishops will concelebrate the Mass, with Archbishop Michael McGovern serving as the main celebrant and homilist. Following the Mass, the Nebraska Walk for Life, organized by Nebraska Right to Life, will commence at 10:00 AM near the steps north of the Nebraska State Capitol. Participants are invited to stand in prayer and action for the sanctity of life. Those unable to attend in person can stream the Mass live on YouTube, starting at 8:45 AM.
Teen Night Event
