Salley area gas and diesel prices (AAA): Regular gas up since yesterday; diesel nearly flat
Salley SC Gas & Diesel Watch – AAA’s Aiken-Edgfield averages show regular gas up since yesterday; diesel nearly flat—both higher than last week.
Salley drivers and businesses are starting the week with a split picture on fuel. As of July 16, 2026, AAA’s closest metro-style proxy for Salley (the Aiken-Edgfield County averages) puts regular gasoline at $3.723 per gallon, up from $3.678 yesterday (+$0.045). Diesel is basically steady at $4.806 per gallon, up just $0.005 from $4.801 yesterday.
Regular gas: higher since yesterday, up versus last week
Regular gas in the AAA Aiken-Edgfield County average is $3.723 today, compared with $3.564 a week ago. That’s an increase of $0.159—enough to matter for anyone filling up more than once per week or paying fuel-sensitive travel costs.
Diesel: nearly flat since yesterday, but still above last week
Diesel is $4.806 today, essentially unchanged from yesterday (+$0.005). But compared with last week’s $4.494, diesel is higher by $0.312. The longer move looks a bit softer than last month, too: AAA shows diesel easing from $4.875 a month ago to $4.806 today (-$0.069).
How this compares to the national picture
At the national level, EIA’s weekly figures for the week ending July 13, 2026 show $3.855 per gallon for regular gasoline and $4.796 per gallon for on-highway diesel. Those U.S. numbers don’t predict Salley pump prices day-for-day, but they help frame whether local moves are moving in the same direction as the broader market.
What higher (or steady) prices can mean locally
- Commuters: when regular gas climbs week-to-week, budgeting for routine driving can tighten quickly, especially for longer routes or multiple family vehicles.
- Delivery drivers and contractors: diesel staying high versus last week can push up weekly operating costs even when prices are “nearly flat” from one day to the next.
- Service businesses and fleets: fuel is only one line item, but steadier daily diesel still doesn’t erase the higher-than-last-week baseline.
- Farm and equipment users: since diesel has been easing from last month yet remains elevated versus last week, monitoring can help with planning around fieldwork and scheduled maintenance.
Diesel’s month-over-month easing is a sign that volatility can go either way—but AAA’s daily updates are still the clearest way to track what’s happening right now.
