Moreno Valley gas prices vary 50 cents; diesel spread reaches 50 cents
July 29 listings showed Moreno Valley regular gas from $5.199 to $5.699 and diesel from $6.599 to $7.099, underscoring the value of checking nearby stations.
Moreno Valley station listings checked July 29 showed regular gasoline prices varying by 50 cents per gallon, while diesel listings differed by the same amount at the locations reviewed.
The lowest checked regular-gas listing was $5.199 per gallon at the Costco station at 12700 Day Street. The highest was $5.699 at the 7-Eleven on Sunnymead Ranch Parkway. That 50-cent spread would change the cost of a 15-gallon fill-up by about $7.50.
Regular gas prices varied by station
The four regular-gas listings reviewed were:
- $5.199 per gallon at the Costco station, 12700 Day Street
- $5.599 at 7-Eleven, 23021 Sunnymead Boulevard
- $5.699 at 7-Eleven, 23573 Sunnymead Ranch Parkway
- $5.599 at 7-Eleven, 12250 Heacock Street
The Costco figure comes from a community-updated price tracker rather than an official Costco fuel-price page. The listing says actual prices may vary and that the pump price at the time of purchase controls.
Diesel listings showed a wider range than in the draft check
Diesel prices at the three checked 7-Eleven locations ranged from $6.599 to $7.099 per gallon:
- $7.099 at 23021 Sunnymead Boulevard
- $6.599 at 23573 Sunnymead Ranch Parkway
- $6.599 at 12250 Heacock Street
The 50-cent difference would amount to about $15 on a 30-gallon fill-up. These are individual station listings, not a Moreno Valley citywide diesel average, and the check did not cover every station or fuel brand in the city.
AAA figures provide statewide context
AAAโs California page listed a statewide average of $5.646 for regular gasoline and $6.892 for diesel on July 29. AAA also listed the California regular-gas average at $5.647 the previous day, while the diesel average was $6.889. Those figures provide statewide context but should not be treated as Moreno Valley averages.
For commuters and households, checking nearby stations can make a meaningful difference, particularly for drivers who regularly buy a full tank. The savings should be weighed against extra miles driven, traffic and time spent reaching a lower-priced station.
Fuel costs also affect delivery drivers, contractors, service businesses, restaurants and other operations that account for transportation in delivery charges, service calls and operating budgets. A wider diesel spread can matter to work-truck operators and commercial fleets, while regular-gas differences affect employees and weekend travelers using passenger vehicles.
7-Eleven says its fuel prices are updated within 24 hours, but online listings can change. Drivers should verify the price at the pump before fueling. What are the highest and lowest regular-gas and diesel prices you are seeing around Moreno Valley?
