Regular gasoline prices were nearly unchanged in the League City area on Saturday, August 1, while diesel continued to move higher. The latest AAA price check for the Galveston-Texas City metro area listed regular gasoline at $3.640 per gallon and diesel at $4.909 per gallon.

Those figures are metro averages, not League City-only prices. Individual stations can be higher or lower depending on location, competition, payment method and fuel grade.

Regular gasoline remains mostly steady

AAA’s Galveston-Texas City average for regular gasoline was down slightly from $3.651 the previous day. It was also nearly unchanged from $3.647 a week earlier.

That relative stability means household drivers are not seeing a major week-to-week shift in the cost of commuting or weekend travel. Actual pump prices in League City can still vary from one station or neighborhood to another.

Diesel is moving in the opposite direction
