Louisville’s Street Rod Nationals return Aug. 6-9 with fairgrounds parking restrictions
Louisville’s 57th annual NSRA Street Rod Nationals begin Thursday, Aug. 6, with four days of all-day no-parking areas around the Kentucky Exposition Center.
The event is scheduled through Sunday, Aug. 9, at 937 Phillips Lane. The restrictions matter for drivers, nearby workers, residents and attendees who park or travel near the fairgrounds.
Where parking will be prohibited
Louisville Metro Police lists these locations as all-day no-parking areas during the event:
- Phillips Lane: Preston Highway to Crittenden Drive
- Monarch Drive: Phillips Lane to Manning Road
- James Road: Phillips Lane to the end
- Emberson Avenue: Phillips Lane to the end
- Crittenden Drive: Interstate 264 to Interstate 65
LMPD‘s notice specifically identifies these locations as no-parking areas. It does not say that every listed street will be fully closed to moving traffic.
What Louisville drivers and nearby workers should know
Drivers heading to or past the Kentucky Exposition Center should not leave vehicles in the listed areas from Thursday, Aug. 6, through Sunday, Aug. 9. People who regularly park on or near those segments should make alternate arrangements before the event begins.
Nearby employees and residents should review how the restrictions may affect their usual parking and access. Attendees should plan their arrival around the restricted streets and use the venue information provided by the event organizers.
Anyone traveling near the fairgrounds should check conditions before leaving, particularly if the normal route uses Phillips Lane, Crittenden Drive or connecting roads. LMPD’s announcement does not provide estimates for traffic delays, attendance, parking prices, shuttle operations or enforcement details.
Event dates and venue
The National Street Rod Association lists the 57th Annual Street Rod Nationals for Aug. 6-9, 2026, at Louisville’s Kentucky Exposition Center. Louisville Tourism lists the same four-day event at 937 Phillips Lane in Louisville.
Residents, workers and visitors should avoid parking in the designated areas during the event and consult Louisville Metro Police’s current street-closure information before traveling near the fairgrounds.
