Voorhees introduces redevelopment plan for five tax-map lots under local redevelopment law
Voorhees Township has posted notice of Introduced Ordinance No. 11-26, a proposed redevelopment-plan measure covering five tax-map lots in Block 197: Lots 4, 4.01, 4.02, 5 and 11.
The notice identifies the measure as operating under New Jersey’s Local Redevelopment and Housing Law. If ultimately adopted, a redevelopment plan could change the permitted land uses and future development options for the specified properties. The available notice, however, does not establish that the plan has been adopted or that construction has been approved.

The same official legal-notice page lists other Voorhees actions from 2026, including Ordinance No. 8-2026, which would add Affordable Housing District IV to the township zoning code, and an ordinance concerning cannabis-consumption lounges.
Those measures are separate from Ordinance No. 11-26. Their appearance on the same legal-notice page does not show that they apply to the five Block 197 lots or form part of the redevelopment plan.
Zoning-board status
The Township’s zoning-board page lists its August 13, 2026, meeting as cancelled. The page describes the board’s role as reviewing proposed uses, construction and alterations under township zoning rules.
The cancelled-meeting listing does not identify Ordinance No. 11-26 as an agenda item, nor does it provide a new hearing date for the redevelopment-plan measure. For now, the public record confirms an introduced ordinance and the parcels it covers, but not the plan’s eventual uses, hearing schedule or final outcome.
