Davis Measure W sets Nov. 3 vote on Willowgrove changes

Davis voters will decide Nov. 3 whether to approve General Plan and land-use changes for the Willowgrove property, setting the next major step for the proposed development. Measure W is scheduled for the City of Davis general municipal election.

The ballot question asks voters whether to adopt Resolution No. 26-052. If approved, the measure would amend the Davis General Plan Land Use Map and transportation element, change land-use designations for the property and establish baseline features for the Willowgrove project.

The proposed designations include an Urban Agriculture Transition Area, parks and recreation, a Neighborhood Greenbelt, Neighborhood Retail, and low-, medium- and high-density residential uses. The vote therefore will determine whether those proposed General Plan and land-use changes take effect for the property.

The Davis City Council passed and adopted the underlying resolution May 5, 2026. The listed vote was unanimous, with Chapman, Deos, Partida, Vaitla and Neville voting yes. Approval at the election requires 50% plus one of the votes cast by City of Davis voters. The Yolo County election record does not yet include vote totals or an outcome; the next known step is the Nov. 3, 2026, election.
