Unitrans route changes take effect in North and Central Davis
Unitrans route changes took effect Monday, August 3, 2026, in North and Central Davis. The implemented changes add the R line and change where the B, F and G lines operate.
The changes follow the City of Davis and Unitrans Short Range Transit Plan, which provides planning guidance for local routes, schedules, bus stops and transit investments. They are now in service, not pending proposals.

B line extends to North Sycamore Loop
The B line now runs north on Sycamore Lane to North Sycamore Loop. Unitrans also added a northbound stop on Sycamore Lane between Kent Drive and Drake Drive.
B line service is discontinued on Drake Drive and Apple Lane. Riders who previously boarded at those locations should check the current route map and stop list before traveling.
On summer weekdays, the B line operates every 60 minutes. During the academic year, weekday service is scheduled every 30 minutes.
F line moves to Catalina Drive
The F line now operates on Catalina Drive instead of Alvarado Avenue. New F line stops are located on Catalina Drive at Anza Avenue, Grande Avenue and Anderson Road.
F line service on Alvarado Avenue has been discontinued. Riders on Alvarado Avenue east of Anderson Road should check the new R line rather than assume that F service remains on the corridor.
The F line operates every 60 minutes on summer weekdays and every 30 minutes on academic-year weekdays.
New R line serves Anderson Road and Alvarado Avenue

R line weekday service is every 60 minutes during the summer and every 30 minutes during the academic year. Riders using the Anderson Road or Alvarado Avenue corridor should confirm the schedule for the applicable term before leaving.
G line has limited summer weekday operation
During the summer, the G line operates during night service Monday through Thursday after 8:10 p.m. It also operates on weekends, holidays and during break service.
Riders should not expect regular daytime weekday G line service during the summer. The current schedule for the selected term controls when and where the line operates.
What did not change
No weekend changes or P and Q line changes took effect August 3. Unitrans also lists minor one-minute timepoint adjustments on several other lines, and the first morning trips on the J and W lines operate 10 minutes later.
The main North and Central Davis weekday changes concern the B, F, G and R lines; the August 3 notice does not describe a systemwide redesign.
How Davis riders should prepare
The Unitrans routes page was updated August 3, 2026. Riders should select the correct summer or academic-year term, open the route’s all-stops view and verify both the boarding location and scheduled arrival time.
Unitrans advises riders to arrive at the stop three to five minutes before the listed time. That check is especially important for people who previously used the discontinued B or F stops or who are transferring to the new R line.
