Fire-Medical crews have returned to Surprise Fire Station 305 after a summer-long renovation, restoring the existing station to service at 15517 N. Parkview Place.
The cityโs FY2026 budget describes Station 305 as one of its busiest stations. Renovations added bathrooms, upgraded electrical systems to support battery-operated equipment carried on fire apparatus, created a separate area for cleaning firefighting gear and improved security.
The gear-cleaning area was intended to reduce exposure to cancer-causing agents; the budget describes that purpose, not a measured reduction in exposure. The return is to the existing station, not a new facility, and the cityโs announcement does not identify a change to its service area.
The FY2026 budget lists $2.1 million for project P34290 in its contract-awarding-authority table. That is a budget figure, not verified final spending, so it should not be treated as the renovationโs confirmed cost.
