Lavaca High School’s Golden Arrows beat Paris 38-26 on Oct. 23, 2026, in Paris, Arkansas, according to the Paris Eagle Foundation’s account. Paris fell behind 20-0, rallied to tie the game at 26-26, then could not answer after Lavaca scored again.
Lavaca added 12 points after the tie while Paris remained at 26. That stretch accounts for the final 12-point margin: the teams were level before the Golden Arrows’ last scoring, and Paris did not score again.
Paris quarterback Athan Wells completed 8 of 21 passes for 64 yards and two interceptions. He also rushed for 57 yards and a touchdown. Freshman Noah Valdez carried 28 times for 162 yards and two touchdowns, averaging about 5.8 yards per carry. The Paris account also reports that the Eagles recorded five interceptions on defense.
Hooten’s Lavaca schedule lists Paris on Oct. 23 and Charleston on Nov. 6, making Charleston the next game listed after Paris.
