Western Montana Fair enters final scheduled day with expanded motorsports program

The 2026 Western Montana Fair was scheduled to reach its final day Sunday, Aug. 2, at the Missoula County Fairgrounds in Missoula.

The fair was listed from Friday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 2. The venue address is 1101 South Avenue West.

Aug. 2 marked the last date on the fair listing. The available materials establish the published schedule, rather than confirming that every part of the event occurred as planned.

Motorsports planned across the fair’s three days i

Missoula County solicited proposals to produce a three-night motorsports event as part of an expanded 2026 Western Montana Fair program.

The county’s proposal document listed motorsports dates of July 31, Aug. 1 and Aug. 2, 2026. Those three dates align with the full period listed for the fair.

In practical terms, the proposed motorsports production was scheduled for each day of the fair, including the final Sunday. The county document identifies the Missoula County Fairgrounds as the location for the motorsports event.

What the listings establish i

The fair dates and street address come from Destination Missoula’s August 2026 event calendar. The county’s motorsports request for proposals separately identifies a planned three-night production tied to the expanded fair.

That distinction matters because the county document records a solicitation for a producer and planned event dates. It does not, on its own, provide post-event confirmation of attendance, race results or whether all planned races took place as scheduled.

Likewise, the event-calendar listing establishes that the fair was scheduled at the fairgrounds through Aug. 2, but it does not include a detailed day-by-day program.

Known next milestone i

The next and final date identified in the available event materials was Aug. 2. No attendance figures, economic-impact estimates, detailed daily schedule, results or incident information were included in the approved source materials.

The available records therefore support the fair’s published three-day schedule and the county’s planned three-night motorsports program, while leaving the outcome of individual events unconfirmed.
