Aiken County schools advance construction and renovation work ahead of 2026-27 year

Aiken County Public Schools is moving forward with design work for a new Area One Transportation Office and construction updates for major school projects as the district prepares for the 2026-27 school year.

The same records included construction-status reports for the Ridge Spring-Monetta Auxiliary Gymnasium and the North Augusta Middle School addition and renovation.

Projects move forward across the county

The transportation-office documents mark a design phase rather than a completed facility or announced change to bus operations. The district’s attachment listing did not identify a total cost or completion date for that project.

The North Augusta Middle School work has been described as a $50 million renovation and expansion.
