Beaufort County asks residents to weigh in on the 2040 Comprehensive Plan at two drop-ins
Beaufort County Planning invites residents to two drop-in meetings to share priorities for the 2040 Comprehensive Plan: June 11 and June 18.
Beaufort County Planning is inviting residents to review priorities tied to the 2040 Comprehensive Plan through two informal, drop-in meetings. The county says the sessions are set up for people to share what they think should be prioritized across the plan’s action items.
Two drop-in meetings (5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.)
- Thursday, June 11, 2026: Bluffton Branch Library, 120 Palmetto Way
- Thursday, June 18, 2026: County Council Chambers, 100 Ribaut Road
The county describes both meetings as an informal format where people can drop in at their convenience.
What residents are invited to review and prioritize
According to the county’s announcement, the public can review and prioritize the following factors:
- Economy
- Culture
- Housing
- Mobility
- Natural Environment
- Community Facilities
- Built Environment (Development)
What to expect on-site
To help attendees understand and prioritize each action item, the county says there will be a station with someone available to answer questions. The county also points to its “complete outline of each action item” (linked as here in the announcement) so residents can come prepared.
As of June 23: use the outline and contact the planner
Both scheduled drop-in meetings were held in June (June 11 and June 18). If you want to dig into what the county said residents could prioritize, start with the action-item outline referenced in the announcement, then reach out with questions.
