Beeline Highway Lane Closures Continue in Palm Beach Gardens
Palm Beach Gardens drivers should expect weekday closures of one southeast-bound Beeline Highway lane near Northlake Boulevard and Jog Road through July 31.
Drivers using southeast-bound Beeline Highway in the Palm Beach Gardens area should expect weekday lane restrictions through Friday, July 31, 2026, according to a city notice posted July 27.
What is closing
One outside southeast-bound lane is scheduled to close from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays in two locations:
- West of Northlake Boulevard
- From east of Jog Road to the Florida’s Turnpike bridge
The notice does not call for a full Beeline Highway closure. Drivers may encounter slower traffic, lane shifts and changing work-zone conditions near Northlake Boulevard and the Turnpike overpass.
Drivers heading toward Northlake Boulevard, the Turnpike or nearby Palm Beach Gardens neighborhoods should allow additional travel time during the listed daytime work hours. Businesses and commuters using the corridor should also watch for temporary traffic-control changes as crews move through different portions of the project.
Part of a larger reconstruction project
The lane restrictions are connected to the multiyear State Road 710, or Beeline Highway, Reconstruction Project. The project covers about 3.1 miles from Northlake Boulevard to Blue Heron Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens, Riviera Beach and West Palm Beach.
According to the Florida Department of Transportation’s Palm Beach County traffic report, the work includes widening Beeline Highway from four lanes to six. It also includes replacing and widening the Florida’s Turnpike bridge over the highway, constructing a partial continuous-flow intersection at Northlake Boulevard, and adding sidewalks and bicycle lanes on both sides of the corridor.
Additional work includes railroad-crossing upgrades, drainage improvements, new or upgraded signals and lighting, pavement markings, signage and intelligent transportation systems. Those improvements are separate from the shorter July 27 closure notice, which lists the current weekday restrictions and their scheduled end date.
What commuters should watch
The city says Northlake Boulevard is a county road, with construction, lane configuration, traffic signals and timing controlled by Palm Beach County. That overlapping jurisdiction helps explain why traffic patterns around the Beeline Highway intersection may change as the project advances.
Friday, July 31, is the scheduled end of the current closure notice. It is not a completion date for the broader reconstruction project, and it does not guarantee that all construction-related traffic impacts will end that day. Drivers should continue to follow posted signs, use caution around workers and check current traffic information before traveling through the corridor.
