Road Closures, City Decisions, and Community Events Shape the Day in Palm Beach Gardens

City Council Wrap-Up

Palm Beach Gardens leaders met Thursday evening for their regular City Council meeting, addressing a mix of routine business and ongoing infrastructure priorities. While no major votes are expected to dramatically change city policy this week, the meeting continued a steady focus on transportation coordination, public services, and upcoming seasonal events.

City officials emphasized keeping residents informed as multiple road projects move forward at the same time across the area.

Road Closures and Traffic Impacts

Drivers are seeing continued impacts from construction near PGA Boulevard. RCA Center Drive remains closed between Kyoto Gardens Drive and RCA Boulevard while crews relocate a water main beneath the overpass. The closure began earlier this week and is expected to remain in place through the construction phase.

In addition, overnight work continues on the I-95 northbound off-ramp to westbound PGA Boulevard. Milling and repaving are happening during evening and early morning hours, which may affect late-night and early commuter traffic.

Community Life and Events

On a lighter note, families are gathering tonight for the city’s “Films on the Field” event, featuring an outdoor movie screening at a local park. The program has become a popular seasonal tradition, drawing residents out for relaxed evenings under the stars.

Recreation staff are also welcoming residents back to the Burns Road Community Center, which recently reopened after renovations. Expanded spaces and updated amenities are now available for fitness programs, youth activities, and community classes throughout February.
