San Ramon Valley High School Lockdown Ends Safely

Danville police responded Thursday afternoon to a report of a possible weapon at San Ramon Valley High School. Out of caution, the campus was briefly placed on lockdown while officers investigated.

Police located and interviewed the student at the center of the report and confirmed there was no weapon and no threat to students or staff. The lockdown was lifted roughly 40 minutes later. Officials thanked students and staff for reporting concerns promptly and emphasized the importance of speaking up when something feels off.

Town Council Meeting Scheduled

The Danville Town Council is preparing for its next public meeting, scheduled for the evening at Town Meeting Hall on Front Street. Council meetings are held twice a month and are open to residents who want to follow local decision-making or share public comment.
