CERT Training Wraps Up, Car Show Series Returns, Council Convenes in Fontana

Fontana had a full slate of civic activity over the past few days, from hands-on emergency training to community events and City Hall updates.

CERT Training Strengthens Emergency Preparedness

The City of Fontana’s Spring 2026 Community Emergency Response Team training wrapped up Sunday, March 15, at the Emergency Operations Center.

The three-day course, held March 13–15, trained residents in disaster response basics, including fire safety, light search and rescue, and team organization. Participants who completed all sessions received certification along with emergency gear.

City officials say the program plays a key role in preparing neighborhoods to respond effectively during earthquakes, fires, and other emergencies common to the Inland Empire.

Fontana Car Show Series Rolls Into 2026

Car enthusiasts are gearing up for the return of the City’s 2026 Fontana Car Show Series. The popular event takes place on Spring Street the first Friday of each month from March through September, excluding June and July.

The series brings classic cars, custom builds, and local vendors into the heart of the city, drawing families and automotive fans alike. Organizers say the event continues to grow as a signature community gathering.

City Council Meeting Highlights

The Fontana City Council met Tuesday, March 10, at City Hall to address a range of municipal items, including development updates and community initiatives.
