CommonGood Medical Opens Larger McKinney Clinic for Eligible Uninsured Residents

CommonGood Medical has opened a larger clinic at 2750 Virginia Parkway in McKinney, expanding its local operation for eligible uninsured and low-income Collin County residents.

The nonprofit held a ribbon cutting on July 25, 2026, and Community Impact reported the opening on Aug. 3. The new location replaces CommonGood’s approximately 4,000-square-foot clinic at 103 E. Lamar Street in downtown McKinney.

A larger clinic on Virginia Parkway

The Virginia Parkway facility covers about 9,000 square feet and includes six exam rooms, according to Community Impact. The larger site is intended to support CommonGood’s qualifying primary-care and prescription-assistance services, although available reporting does not establish a specific increase in patient capacity or treatment volume.

Community Impact reported that more than 800 CommonGood Medical patients live in McKinney. The new clinic is about two miles from the former location and remains positioned to serve McKinney patients as well as eligible residents elsewhere in Collin County.

Who can use the clinic

CommonGood Medical says it serves uninsured Collin County residents who meet established household-income requirements. Its eligibility information says care is designed for people without health insurance, including those without Medicaid, Medicare or other medical-assistance programs.

The clinic’s website lists weekday hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with the office closed from noon to 1 p.m. It also lists third-Saturday hours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Prospective patients should confirm current eligibility rules, hours and appointment requirements directly with CommonGood before visiting.

Imaging services are planned, not operating yet

The expansion also leaves room for possible future additions, including mammography, X-ray and sonography. Community Impact reported those services as part of additional phases of build-out. They should not be treated as currently available at the Virginia Parkway clinic.

County agreement covers qualifying services

A signed Collin County Health Care Foundation service agreement with CommonGood provides for limited primary-care assistance and prescription assistance for qualifying Collin County residents during the period from March 1, 2026, through Feb. 28, 2027.

The agreement is limited to eligible patients, including qualifying U.S. citizens and resident aliens whose household income is at or below 100% of the current federal poverty level. The contract allows payment for specified services, including sick medical visits, laboratory services, immunizations and prescription medications, and sets a maximum agreement amount of $50,000.

The county agreement documents contracted services and a funding cap; it does not establish that all CommonGood operations are county-funded. For McKinney residents who may qualify, the practical next step is to review CommonGood Medical’s current eligibility rules, weekday hours and location information before seeking care.
