Easley advances Target development approvals and Wire 3 telecommunications franchise

Easley City Council took two development-related actions July 13, advancing measures connected to a proposed Target development and approving a franchise agreement that allows Wire 3 LLC to install telecommunications network infrastructure within the city.

The franchise approval concerns the company’s authority to install infrastructure. It does not establish that Wire 3 service is already available to residents, and the council report does not state a construction schedule, coverage area or customer launch date.

Together, the actions could affect land use, future shopping access and telecommunications infrastructure in Easley.
