Driver Charged in Fatal San Pablo Avenue Collision

Regional outlets report that Contra Costa County prosecutors have filed a misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter charge against a 90-year-old El Cerrito resident after a crash that fatally injured pedestrian Donna Revecho on San Pablo Avenue at Waldo Avenue. The collision happened on the afternoon of November 15, and the 66-year-old Richmond woman died from her injuries on December 4. Police say the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, and the case was later forwarded to the district attorney for charging.

Over time, six buildings around the station are planned to add more than 700 homes, nearly half of them below market rate, along with new public open space, limited retail, and the potential for a modern branch library if funding is secured.
