Even in early February, Ennis is already looking toward bluebonnet season. The 2026 Ennis Bluebonnet Trails are scheduled to run April 1–30, with more than 40 miles of mapped driving routes showcasing the wildflowers that have made the community the Official Bluebonnet City of Texas.

The Ennis Bluebonnet Trails Festival is set for April 17–19 in the city's historic area, bringing live entertainment, vendors and family activities alongside the blooms. Volunteers will begin checking trail conditions weekly in April so visitors can be directed to the best viewing areas as the peak bloom approaches.
