Great Park Concert Kickoff, Business Roundtable and Charity Golf Mark Busy Week in Irvine
Irvine, CA – March 21, 2026 – Irvine welcomes a major concert kickoff, a regional business roundtable at UCI, and a long-running charity golf tournament.
Irvine heads into the weekend with a full calendar that blends live entertainment, policy discussion and community philanthropy. From a major concert launch at Great Park to industry talks at UC Irvine and a charity golf tradition at Strawberry Farms, the week highlights the city’s range and reach.
Great Park Live Season Opens
The 2026 Great Park Live season officially begins March 21 with the “I Love The 90’s” tour, setting the tone for what city leaders describe as the venue’s biggest year yet. The outdoor entertainment venue recently expanded its capacity, allowing up to 10,000 guests for select events.
That increase positions Great Park for larger concerts and festival-style gatherings throughout the year. The season opener brings a nostalgic lineup to Irvine, drawing visitors from across the region and reinforcing the city’s growing reputation as a live entertainment destination.
Regional Industry Roundtable at UCI
Earlier in the week, on March 19, business and policy leaders convened at UC Irvine for the California Metals Coalition’s quarterly regional roundtable. The meeting took place at the Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering Building and focused on federal regulatory updates, proposed South Coast air quality rules and broader national policy developments.
The quarterly sessions have been held for decades, providing manufacturers and industry advocates with a consistent forum to exchange updates and discuss issues affecting Southern California businesses. The Irvine gathering continued that long-standing tradition of dialogue between the private sector and policy stakeholders.
36th Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Also on March 19, the British-American Business Council Orange County hosted its 36th annual charity golf tournament at Strawberry Farms Golf Course. The event supports scholarships and year-round programming while bringing together members of the international business community.
The tournament featured contests, auctions and a hole-in-one prize opportunity. Now in its fourth decade, the fundraiser continues to combine networking and charitable giving, reflecting Irvine’s strong ties to global business and community service.
Together, the week’s events underscore Irvine’s dual identity as both an entertainment hub and a center for industry leadership and philanthropy.
