Hamilton City Council to Hear Hogan Farm Rezoning Proposal Aug. 12
Hamilton City Council will hold a public hearing at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, on a proposed zoning-map amendment affecting property at 2921 Tylersville Road and adjoining parcels.
The city identifies the case as the Hogan Farm Rezoning to Industrial Planned Development, or IPD. The affected property is listed as 2921 Tylersville Road, parcels P6461056000010 and P6461056000011, along with parcel P6461056000014. The City of Hamilton is the listed applicant.
Hearing location
The hearing will be held in City Council Chambers at 345 High St., on the first floor of the municipal building in Hamilton. It is not scheduled at the Tylersville Road property.
The city notice describes the matter as a proposed amendment to the Hamilton zoning map. The notice does not establish that the rezoning has been approved, authorize construction or approve a specific industrial project.
How residents can comment
Residents may attend the Aug. 12 hearing and participate in the public process. The city also says written comments may be submitted to City Clerk Daniel Tidyman for presentation at the meeting.
Proposal remains under review
The hearing is one step in the zoning process. The current notice concerns the requested IPD designation and does not present a final development plan, tenant, job count, traffic plan or construction schedule.
City Council will consider the matter through the public-hearing and zoning process. Any final action would need to appear in subsequent city records or council action; the hearing notice itself should not be read as approval of the requested change.
