Irving’s Free Las Colinas Loop Is Now Operating Daily
Irving’s free Loop at Las Colinas is now operating daily, giving workers, residents and visitors a fixed-stop way to move through the Las Colinas Urban Center without buying a ticket or making a reservation.
The City of Irving says the Loop runs from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day. Vehicles arrive every 15 to 30 minutes, although riders should use Citymapper to check the next vehicle and current route information.
How the Loop works
The Loop follows a figure-eight route around Las Colinas Boulevard and Lake Carolyn Parkway, with through access at O’Connor Road and Promenade Parkway.
Riders walk to a designated stop and board. The service is walk-on and fixed-route: no reservation, app booking or ticket is required for the Loop. Citymapper is used to view stops, maps, schedules and real-time vehicle information, not to reserve a ride.
Where riders can go
City materials identify stops near destinations including Toyota Music Factory, the Lake Carolyn area, restaurants, businesses, hotels, entertainment venues and residential areas.
That makes the Loop a practical option for short trips among offices, apartments, dining locations and entertainment destinations in the Urban Center. It is not a door-to-door or on-demand shuttle, so riders must use the published stops.
Hours, frequency and accessibility
The Loop operates seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with stated service frequency of 15 to 30 minutes.
The city says Irving Connector vehicles are ADA-compliant and include a space secured for a wheelchair. The current City of Irving public transit page lists The Loop at Las Colinas as operational as of August 3, 2026.
How it fits into Irving Connector
The Loop is one part of Irving Connector, the city’s Via-operated fixed-route van service. Routes 225 and 255 are separate services that restore coverage along the prior Nursery Road and Story Road DART corridors.
Routes 225 and 255 operate daily from 5 a.m. to midnight. Each ride costs $1.50, with tickets available through Citymapper or by paying exact cash or change. The city lists those routes as running every 35 to 60 minutes, compared with the Loop’s 15-to-30-minute frequency.
The free Loop does not replace Routes 225 or 255. It is a Las Colinas circulator serving the Urban Center, while the paid routes provide longer corridor service elsewhere in Irving.
DART passes are not currently accepted
Irving Connector is separate from DART services that continue in Irving, including the Orange Line light rail, Trinity Railway Express, DART bus routes, GoLink and paratransit services.
The city says DART passes and GoPass are not currently accepted on Irving Connector Routes 225 and 255, although Irving and DART are exploring options. That restriction does not change the Loop’s fare: rides on the Las Colinas circulator are free.
Check the route before riding
Before leaving, riders can use Citymapper to review the Loop’s stop locations, route map and live vehicle information. The City of Irving’s transit page lists the latest operating details for the Loop and Routes 225 and 255.
