Stop the Bleed training is designed to help participants recognize and respond to traumatic bleeding emergencies, while Narcan training focuses on identifying and responding to opioid overdoses. Health officials noted that the sessions are hands-on and typically take less than two hours to complete.

Following Narcan training, participants can receive Narcan at no cost. Officials say the goal is to equip residents with practical skills that can make a difference in emergency situations before first responders arrive.

Recycling fees and winter service updates

County officials also used the week to remind residents about mandatory recycling fees that appear on property tax bills. The fee applies whether or not a household actively uses recycling services.

For residents who live outside Jeffersonville city limits, recycling drop-off locations remain available throughout Clark County. Officials emphasized that these sites continue to operate as a convenient option for those without curbside service.
