Jeffersonville Seeks Input on 2026 HUD Funding Plan

Jeffersonville has opened public comment on a draft 2026 Annual Action Plan that will identify local needs, set community-development priorities and propose how the city would use anticipated federal funding.

The plan is tied to the federal Community Development Block Grant program and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Comments submitted by 4:30 p.m. Aug. 17, 2026, will be included in the city’s report to HUD.

The one-day difference matters because access to the draft and the deadline for submitting comments are not the same date. Residents reviewing the document at City Hall should plan around the earlier document-access deadline if they need to examine the draft there.

What happens after comments close

After the public-comment period ends, comments received by the Aug. 17 deadline will be incorporated into Jeffersonville’s report to HUD. The Jeffersonville Office of Redevelopment is identified in the city’s notice and source materials as the office connected to the plan and the city’s HUD submission.

The next known step, therefore, is the city’s preparation of its report after the comment period. The available materials do not provide a later date for submission, a final HUD award amount or a final version of the plan.
