Las Olas Boulevard to close Oct. 17–18 for art fair
Fort Lauderdale will close East Las Olas Boulevard between SE 6th and SE 11th avenues from 4 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 17, until 11 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, for the 39th Annual Las Olas Art Fair. The city issued its traffic advisory Oct. 9.
The fair is scheduled on the same stretch Oct. 17 and 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. Admission is free. The closure window starts six hours before Saturday’s opening and remains in place six hours after the fair’s scheduled Sunday closing.
The City Commission approved the outdoor event agreement and road-closure request on Sept. 15. The city advises travelers to expect congestion and plan travel times accordingly; its advisory does not provide a detour route. Drivers using the affected boulevard and visitors heading to the fair should account for the closure throughout both days.
