On March 26, 2025, at approximately 6:26 a.m., a fatal vehicle versus pedestrian hit-and-run collision occurred on South Jones Boulevard north of West Fairbanks Road. Evidence collected at the scene and video surveillance indicated an unknown white midsize Sport Utility Vehicle was traveling northbound on South Jones Boulevard, passing West Fairbanks Road. A female pedestrian was possibly kneeling or sitting in the middle of South Jones Boulevard north of West Fairbanks Road. A collision occurred when the front of the Sport Utility Vehicle struck the pedestrian.
