Lewis Countyโs results from the Aug. 6, 2026 election remain unverified in accessible official records, leaving candidate totals, winners, turnout and certification status unconfirmed for contests affecting voters in Hohenwald and across the county.
The Thursday election included Tennesseeโs state primary and state and county general election. Early voting ran from July 17 through Aug. 1. The Lewis County Election Commission, which is responsible for organizing local elections and tallying votes, is based at 35 Smith Ave. in Hohenwald.
The commissionโs accessible official page provides election information but does not display an Aug. 6 results table or certification status. The Tennessee Secretary of Stateโs election-results access point also does not expose the countyโs Aug. 6 totals in the accessible record. A May 19 Lewis County primary, which had 3,152 ballots cast and 32.07% turnout, was a separate election and cannot be used as the Aug. 6 result.
The next definitive update will need to come through publication or confirmation by the Lewis County Election Commission or the Tennessee Secretary of State. No recount, canvass or certification action for the Aug. 6 election is established in the accessible records.
