Child hit while walking to school; expected to recover
Madison police say an 8-year-old boy was struck while walking to school on the morning of Feb. 26 near Russett Road, close to Orchard Ridge Elementary School. He was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but authorities said he is expected to recover.
