Man, 48, dies in Waco motorcycle crash; passenger hospitalized

A 48-year-old man died at the scene after a motorcycle and a Nissan Altima collided at Lake Shore Drive and Hillcrest Drive in Waco shortly after midnight Oct. 15, according to police information reported by KWTX and KXXV. Police were called at about 12:36 a.m. A motorcycle passenger was taken to a hospital; KWTX reported police information said the passenger was expected to be OK.

Police said the westbound Nissan was turning left onto Hillcrest Drive when the eastbound motorcycle struck the rear of the car. KWTX reported the Nissan’s driver and passenger were not injured and that the driver was cooperating with investigators.

KWTX reported that no arrests had been made and the crash remained under investigation. The reported police account does not establish who was at fault. Police planned to release the motorcyclist’s identity later, KWTX reported.
