Repairs on Cottonwood Avenue in La Villa began on February 2 and are expected to take two to three weeks, weather permitting. The $700,000 project, funded by the Hidalgo County Urban County Program, will require drivers to use 8th Street near Muñoz Elementary and La Villa Middle schools during the construction period.
