Millville Morning Brief: Weather, Levoy Show, and City Business
Millville, NJ — February 7, 2026 — Snow squalls, a Van Halen tribute at the Levoy, and busy city calendars shape today’s Holly City headlines.
Millville Morning Brief
Snow showers, live music downtown and a full slate of city business are on tap for Millville this weekend.
Weather and travel
The National Weather Service has issued a special weather statement for this morning, warning that brief snow showers or even a quick-moving squall could reduce visibility and put a light coating of snow on untreated roads across parts of South Jersey. Gusts around 30 to 40 mph may blow the snow around and make driving tricky early today.
Marine forecasts tied to our region include a storm warning and heavy freezing spray warning for coastal waters through Sunday morning, with very rough conditions expected offshore. Anyone heading toward the bays or ocean should check the latest marine advisories and use extra caution.
Tonight at the Levoy
Downtown Millville’s Levoy Theatre hosts Van Halen Nation tonight, a tribute show that recreates the classic rock band’s high-energy 1980s era. The concert is scheduled for 8 p.m. on High Street, adding another big-name tribute to the theater’s winter lineup.
The Levoy continues to be a key anchor for the Glasstown Arts District, with more shows scheduled through February, including a run of “Shrek The Musical” later this month.
City meetings and civic notes
The Millville Zoning Board met Thursday evening, February 5, as part of a busy start to the month for City Hall. Next up is the Planning Board meeting on Monday, February 9 at 6:30 p.m., followed by a City Commission work session on Friday, February 13 at 1 p.m. All sessions are listed for the 4th Floor Conference Room at City Hall.
Residents with traffic or minor criminal matters should note that Municipal Court is holding regular virtual sessions via Zoom on Tuesdays and Thursdays, including upcoming dates on February 10 and 12. Defendants are asked to log in using the court’s posted links or call in by phone if needed.
Looking ahead: State of the City
Business and community leaders are preparing for Mayor Dan Dixon’s first State of the City address, set for Wednesday, February 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The luncheon event, hosted by the Greater Millville Chamber of Commerce, will include networking and a keynote outlining the new administration’s priorities for the Holly City. Seating is limited and advance tickets are required.
