Ogden, UT — February 4, 2026 — A fire in Ogden Canyon, sparked by illegal fireworks, destroyed a home and four outbuildings; evacuations have been lifted.

Early Sunday morning, a brush fire erupted near the 9th Street Trailhead in Ogden Canyon. The fire quickly spread, leading to the destruction of one home and four outbuildings. Approximately 40 homes were threatened, prompting evacuations in the area. The Weber Fire District responded promptly, containing the fire to approximately 3 acres and achieving 85% containment. The cause of the fire was determined to be human-caused, with illegal fireworks being a possible factor. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and all evacuations have been lifted.
