Ontario, CA — February 3, 2026 — Four Los Angeles County residents were arrested for attempted robbery after following victims for over five miles in Ontario.
On February 2, 2026, the Ontario Police Department responded to a report of an attempted robbery at a local bank. Officers located the suspect vehicle and detained the occupants, who were identified as Dilan Cansino, Owen Acero-Pena, Jorgy Vargas, and Maria Gonzalez. Acero-Pena is also currently on probation for robbery and carjacking out of Los Angeles County.
Investigations revealed that the suspects had been following the victims for over five miles throughout the city. All four were arrested for attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime and were later booked into the West Valley Detention Center.
